AntCant™ in action!
The AntCant™, ant barrier coating (patent pending) was scientifically developed to be a non-toxic, low maintenance deterrent from ant infestation. The coating works by preventing the ants from attaching to an inclined coated surface. Since they can’t get a grip, they fall off and do not make it to the attractant (food, garbage, etc.) After being discouraged the ants give up and leave! Once the ants know the barrier is in place they don’t seem to even re-challenge it!
AntCant is not a pesticide and the dried coating is environmentally safe. Unlike other solid barrier materials described to be effective against ants, like caulk, baby powder, or coffee grounds, the Critter Technology ant barrier is a very thin coating, stable if not touched and almost invisible on light colored surfaces (it has a slight white color).
Unlike liquid ant barriers, for example, lemon juice, vinegar, water, or oils, AntCant will not evaporate or be washed away. Thus, it is virtually maintenance free! Just monitor the treatment periodically and if re-application is necessary a quick spray is all that is needed. The coating can also be very easily removed with soap and water. AntCant can be re-applied to the rinsed and dried surface.
AntCant, in contrast to Tanglefoot™, is non-sticky so there is no accumulation of dead insects or debris and therefore no mess to deal with.
AntCant has been successfully tested for ant deterrence on a variety of different surfaces including plastics, bare and painted metal (copper and aluminum), aluminum tape, stone and granite tile, and smooth cardboard.
